Seminar with Catherine Uyttenhove & Reece Marillier, Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, Brussels
"Anti-cytokine autovaccination: a powerful tool for functional in vivo analysis illustrated for IL-17A and IL-27"
Auto-vaccination has proven a powerful tool for the study of cytokine function in vivo. The present seminar will describe an efficient procedure to break self-tolerance that allowed for the production of mouse antibodies blocking mouse inflammatory mediators. Examples will be given for the main mouse neutrophil mobilizing chemokine GCP-2/CXCL-6, the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-17A and the multifaceted factor IL-27. |
