"The role of Dendritic Cells in peripheral tolerance induction and viral infection"

We have generated several transgenic and k.o.-mouse strains to manipulate specific functions of Dendritic Cells (MHC class I direct or cross-presentation, antigen uptake, development). These strains were utilized to study the roles of DCs during maintenance of peripheral tolerance, viral infection and vaccination.
