The Institute is largely supported by a PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP between the Walloon Region, GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals and the Université Libre de Bruxelles. The collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals includes exchange of technologies and joint scientific meetings on novel concepts emerging from our research results. GSK Biologicals benefits from the first right of refusal on sponsored research results in return for its investment. This collaboration has been sponsored by the Wallonia Region as part of its objective to contribute to the economic dynamism of the region.

In the past 5 years, the Institute has also been supported by research grants from the following Institutions:

The Fund for Scientific Research (F.R.S - FNRS) and the Télévie Programme
The Belgian Science Policy
The European Commission
The Erasme Fund
The Wiener-Anspach Foundation
The Belgian Kid's Fund
The Roche Organ Transplantation Research Foundation
The Dimitris and Noela Nakos Foundation
