The roles of cytokines in the generation and functions of regulatory T-cells have been established. Perhaps most significantly, cytokine modulation is a powerful therapeutic strategy whose value has already been demonstrated in human inflammatory diseases and is likely to expand in the coming years. It is, therefore, an appropriate time for experts to meet and discuss these advances and their potential for human health. The Cytokines 2008 meeting will provide an opportunity for all immunologists and distinguished guests to exchange views and ideas, discuss recent knowledge and possible new approaches to better understand the functions of the immune system and possible implications for the health of people all over the world. This congress is focused on Cytokines, and is expected to cover the most exciting developments as well as the controversial issues in this field. On this occasion, Stanislas Goriely will give an oral presentation entitled: "Differential involvement of IRF members in TLR-induced IL-27 expression" and Laure Ysebrant de Lendonck will present the results of her research with a communication entitled: "Interleukin 27 strongly promotes IFN-gamma production by human cord blood CD4+ T cells". http://www.cytokines2008.com | |
