During the summer 2008, IMI organized for the fisrt time a " Summer School in Medical Immunology ". It consisted of a full week of presentations and interactive discussions with senior researchers from IMI but also from other research teams. Through this initiative, IMI aims to help its PhD students to put their work into perspectives and to analyse their results in a critical and stringent way.

Considering the great success of this first "Summer School", IMI will probably register this initiative in its academic calendar.  

The summer schools will be organized every two years.  The next "Summer School in Medical Immunology" will take place in 2011.
