BioWin
The Institute for Medical Immunology works in close collaboration with BioWin. Located in Wallonia, The BioWin competitiveness cluster focuses its activities on the field of human health. Its ambition is to promote collaboration between all the Walloon stakeholders involved in innovation and training activities in the sector. Its objectives are:
 
  • To become a worldwide leader in three target sectors, namely cancer, inflammation, and brain diseases within the 10 next years
  • To encourage the creation of a new culture of openess and partnership conducive to innovation in Wallonia
  • To train, attract, and retain high-quality human resources in Wallonia 

 

The main stakeholders of the BioWin cluster BioWin is a network composed of approximately 250 Walloon actors coming from different horizons:
 
  • More than 100 companies, including leading world companies such as GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals (vaccines), UCB (biopharmaceuticals), Baxter (medical devices) or IBA (cyclotrons and proton therapy) as well as a large number of high potential innovative SMEs.
  • Several Institutes of higher education and a number of secondary technical schools
     
  • Numerous Investors
     
  • Institutional representatives
